Disinfection Process


According to the technical rules for swimming pool disinfection, pool disinfection process is divided into full process mode and half process mode, both of them can be chosen according to the actual design requirements of disinfection. Generally speaking, ozone will be dosed into water by negative pressure way and then mixed with water by special mixer to reach the disinfection requirements by final reaction tank and ancillary facilities. (i.e., CT ≥ 1.6).
The main design parameters of the swimming pool ozone disinfection system: CT Value
C represents ozone concentration, measured in mg/ L;
T represents contact time, measured in Min;
C×T Value represents the effectiveness of the disinfection process.
In design, we generally use CT =1.6.
C generally used 0.8-1.5mg/ L;
T generally used 1-2min;
Some areas use a low CT Value of 0.8, ozone concentration of 0.2-0.25mg/ L, and contact time of 3.5-4.0min.At this point, the amount of chlorine added as an auxiliary disinfection can be re-duced by 65%.When chlorine is used as the main disinfectant and ozone is used as the fine dis-infectant, the Ct Value can be less than 0.8, the ozone concentration is less than 0.5mg/ L, and the contact time is less than 1.0min.
